Network.

The ChemCoast Park Brunsbüttel is part of a strong network jointly working towards strengthening the industrial location.

BILFINGER Brunsbüttel

Bilfinger is a leading international industrial services provider for the process industry and operates in Brunsbüttel as a specialized industrial services provider for the area’s major industrial companies (including those in the chemical, petrochemical, and energy sectors). Instead of operating its own production facilities, Bilfinger typically provides technical support and maintenance directly on-site at the plants of major industrial partners - such as Covestro in Brunsbüttel. The range of services at the ChemCoast Park industrial site is essentially divided into the core areas of plant maintenance and control and measurement technology, as well as scaffolding, insulation, and corrosion protection.
Through Bilfinger Engineering & Maintenance GmbH, the company ensures the ongoing operation of large industrial plants.  In addition, Bilfinger Life Science Automation GmbH is based in Brunsbüttel and focuses primarily on automation solutions.
At Bilfinger, the focus is on safety, efficiency, and sustainability to strengthen the competitiveness of local industry and actively help shape the transition to a climate-neutral future.

The medium-sized company operates one of the most advanced ecologically integrated factories in the recycled paper industry at its Glückstadt site and offers three different product ranges: Multi purpose papers for office management, magazine paper for web offset printing and digital printing paper. The entire production and value chain is uncompromisingly geared towards resource and energy efficient procedures. Steinbeis allows end users in commerce, industry and the public sector to employ large amounts of copier and printing papers while also operating in a sustainable and responsible manner.

Wind to Gas Energy

The shareholders of Wind 2 Gas Energy were among the first pioneers in the use of wind energy in Schleswig-Holstein.

At the end of the 1980s, the first wind turbines were erected for self-supply.

In the meantime, KMW Wind to Gas Energy GmbH & Co. KG operates numerous wind farms in the windy region of Dithmarschen and thus makes a significant contribution to the energy turnaround.

With the company's involvement in the ChemCoast Park, the next step for a successful and sustainable energy transition has been taken: the conversion and storage of renewable energies into "green" hydrogen. For this purpose, a 2.4 MW hydrogen electrolysis plant fed by wind power was built at the energy and industrial site of Brunsbüttel in Schleswig-Holstein, with a natural gas grid feed-in. A 2 MW battery storage system enables the short-term storage of electricity.
